Partnership with KIT takes SaaS solution XPLN to a new level
XPLN and the SDSC-BW will collaborate to offer data-driven support to companies.
XPLN and the SDSC-BW – Smart Data Solution Center Baden-Württemberg will collaborate in the future to offer data-driven support to companies in retail and manufacturing environments in pricing and competitive analysis as well as in assortment and product development using data science & analytics and machine learning technologies.
Trading companies and manufacturers will benefit from the partnership between XPLN and SDSC-BW through use of the SaaS solution suite from XPLN – a market observation software that increases the degree of automation of production processes, assortment planning or competitive analyses in a data-driven manner. AI-driven analyses and evaluations of data from large platforms such as Amazon, ebay or Google Shopping complement the range of services to secure strategic decisions on a data basis.
Big Data turns into Smart Data
The value potential of data analyses by XPLN is the discovery of correlations in data sets. Huge amounts of data (Big Data), which often occur in real time, can often not be processed as “raw data”. The datasets determined by XPLN are processed by machine learning algorithms into useful, secured and high-quality data and refined into smart data using data science & analytics technologies in order to be able to develop their full economic potential.
This partnership gives companies greater access to analytical options for process optimization in terms of production, product range, price and competition.
The SDSC-BW was founded by the Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) and the Chair for Pervasive Computing Systems at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, a Technical University of Baden-Württemberg and national research center in the Helmholtz Association) together with SICOS BW GmbH. The aim of the SDSC-BW is to enable the utilization of smart data technologies also for small and medium-sized enterprises (so-called SME). The Ministry of Science, Research and Art of Baden-Württemberg supports this project (initially planned for three years) with about one million Euros.
Price Intelligence GmbH is vendor of the same named market monitoring software with focus on the optimization of e-commerce data for retailers and manufacturers. The SaaS solution collects and evaluates international data from well-known platforms and marketplaces. Price and competition monitoring, automation of price adjustments (Dynamic Pricing) as well as assortment optimization are features users benefit from.
The software was developed in close cooperation with enterprise customers. Being in focus: Stability of software, quality of data and permanently available customer service. Its customer portfolio includes well-known companies such as Swarovski, Paul Hartmann, Euronics, Expert, the Klingel Group, Digitec and many more.
